A Better Place

There's a place I've never seen beyond this world we know,

A place I've only heard of but someday hope to go -

It's not on any map, there are no roads to take me there,

But it's a place of perfect peace where hearts are free from care.

And though I understand some may be saddened when I leave,

One day, we all will meet again- that's what I believe...

When it's time to travel there, I think I'll wear a smile,

I'll say good-bye to those I love, but only for a while,

Knowing there are others who have traveled there alone,

Who cannot wait to greet me and to whisper "welcome home."

Mom, Lookin' forward to seeing you in Heaven- save a spot for me!- Love you always, Judy

James Eugene Kimery

August 16, 1920 - June 30, 2007

Father of Rick Kimery

Born August 20, 1920, he left the "land of the dying" and entered into the "land of the living" on June 30, 2007. He was better known by friends and family by his name of "Gene". Gene was a devoted husband to his wife of 58 years, Nellie Kimery. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He worked long hours to provide the very best for his family, he lived his life by setting an example for his friends and family to follow. He pastored several churches over a period of over 40 years. He would be the first to let you know, you never retire from doing God's work. We look forward to seeing him again someday soon in " the place Jesus went to prepare for him".

Heaven

I can only imagine how heaven will be,
walking through those gates what splendor I'll see
Escorted by angels to that great white throne,
where I will be welcomed to my eternal home.

On streets of pure gold just beginning my journey,
I've finally met Jesus who gave his life for me.
Arms opened wide dressed in a robe of stark white,
for miles all around him glows a radiant light.

As he spoke "Enter in", I fell down to my knees
kissing nail-scarred hands he endured just for me.
He raised me up gently wiping tears from my face,
and in his kind gaze was more evidence of grace.

"This is your inheritance to inhabit my kingdom,
a place of sheer jubilance,tranquility and freedom.
My eyes beheld beauty this earth pales in compare,
but what I love most about heaven is that Jesus lives there!!!

                    The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;

for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories your love is still our guide;

and though we cannot see you, your always at our side.

 Our family chain is broken,and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

 He Only Takes The Best

A heart of gold stopped beating, two shinning eyes at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us that He only takes the best.

Little did we know that morning the sorrow the day would bring.

The end was sudden, the shock severe, we never knew death was so near.

When days are sad and lonely and evening shadows fall,

We hear your voice and see your face, your sweet memory lingers on.

God knew you had to leave us but you did not go alone,

for part of us went with you the day He called you home.
